چکیده

For a variational inequality problem (VIP) with a psudomonotone mapping F on its solution set C∗, we give equivalent statements for C∗ to be determined by the zeroes Γ(c∗) of the primal gap function of VIP, where c∗ ∈ C∗. One sufficient condition is also presented in terms of weaker sharpness of C∗. With the psudomonotonicity∗ of F onC∗ being characterized, C∗ turns out to coincide with the zeroes Λ(c∗) of the dual gap function of VIP. If also F has the same direction on Γ(c∗), then Γ(c∗) coincides with C∗, Λ(c∗), and the solution set C∗ of the dual variational inequality problem. This has further been shown to be equivalent to saying that F is constant on Γ(c∗) when F is psudomonotonone+ on C∗. Key–Words: Variational inequality, minimum principle sufficiency, weaker sharpness, pseudomonotonicity∗, gap functions

Pseudomonotone∗ maps and the cutting plane property

Pseudomonotone∗ maps are a generalization of paramonotone maps which is very closely related to the cutting plane property in variational inequality problems (VIP). In this paper, we first generalize the so-called minimum principle sufficiency and the maximum principle sufficiency for VIP with multivalued maps. Then we show that pseudomonotonicity∗ of the map implies the “maximum principle suff...

ψ-pseudomonotone generalized strong vector variational inequalities with application

In this paper, we establish an existence result of the solution for an generalized strong vector variational inequality already considered in the literature and as applications we obtain a new coincidence point theorem in Hilbert spaces.

An Inexact Proximal Algorithm for Pseudomonotone and Quasimonotone Variational Inequalities

In this paper we introduce an inexact proximal point algorithm using proximal distances for solving variational inequality problems when the mapping is pseudomonotone or quasimonotone. Under some natural assumptions we prove that the sequence generates by the algorithm is convergent for the pseudomonotone case and weakly convergent for the quasimonotone ones. This approach unifies the results o...

Generalized Vector Variational Inequalities with Star-pseudomonotone and Discontinuous Operators

In this paper we deal with the following generalized vector variational inequality problem: let X, Y and Z be topological vector spaces, K be a convex set in X, D be a nonempty set in Y , and C be a closed convex cone in Z. Let T : K → 2 be a multifunction and f : K ×D ×K → Z be a single-valued mapping. Find a point x̂ ∈ K and ŷ ∈ T (x̂) such that f(x̂, ŷ, z) / ∈ −intC, ∀z ∈ K. We prove some exist...

Algorithms for Bilevel Pseudomonotone Variational Inequality Problems

We propose easily implementable algorithms for minimizing the norm with pseudomonotone variational inequality constraints. This bilevel problem arises in the Tikhonov regularization method for pseudomonone variational inequalities. Since the solution set of the lower variational inequality is not given explicitly, the available methods of mathematical programming and variational inequality can ...
